As most of you know I'm a college student and like most college students I'm struggling for money.. WELL this is where my friends can help FOR FREE !!
I found a contest where I can win anywhere from $100-$500 towards school and books. WELL the contest is best concert memory, SO i put up a picture of me on stage getting hugged by Toby Keith.
You can vote every 7 hours OR you can clear your cookies and vote as many times as you want. Also if you have the time can you please leave a comment on the page, its helps me with points in the contest. The contest ends on Jan 27th and I'm stuck in 6th place ):

SOO please if you can fwd this on to ALL your friends and family members I would LOVE YOU ALL MORE THAN I ALREADY DO !!!!!

I have a question for you all since you're in college. I am currently scheduling my classes for high school, and I really dont want to take a foreign language. But, would it help me in college?

yep. If you want to go to school in NC, it's required to take 2 foreign language courses, in a lot of other states too. Foreign languages help a lot, shows them you're not lazy and you can do it.

as far as FL in New York it depends on what schools u want to go to, if you took it in high school, and what your major is.

Okay...thanks. I really want to work at Disney World, so that would definitely require learning a language! I just really dont want to.

Okay since I have 2 degrees, I'll chime in here. Not only are colleges now requiring you to have 2 years of foreign language just to get in, most of them are requiring at least the 200 levels to be taken in order to earn your degree.

People really don't realize how important it is to learn another language or at least the basics of it. A lot of people in this country don't speak English so a basic knowledge of Spanish is excellent, and it will help you get jobs.

If you want to work in the service industry, it is imperative. You really should focus on Spanish because a lot of people who will be working around you will be Hispanic, and Florida has one of the larger Hispanic populations in the country.

I know it seems like a pain, but think of it like a way to learn a new culture. And Spanish is not that hard. Just use flash cards for your vocabulary and study your grammar.

I do have some notes I made when I tutored Spanish is you end up needing them. You can send me a PM or an email. I'm very happy to help. I can't stress enough the importance of doing this and doing it with a good attitude. It will help you get jobs and help you advance. It's a pain when you're 15 but when you're 30 it's an asset. Trust me.

Okay off soap box now. lol But I know where you're coming from, and I've crossed to the other side so I know where you're heading.

And best of luck to you too.
